The need was for a solution that can help their employees managing their appointments with the customers. The Office Workers can do the allocation and the appointments for the Field Workers who are directly interacting with the clients. Also the solution needed to have the same functionality on mobile devices.
Hence a web application was developed that supported these features. Along with this the mobile version of the solution was developed which was intended to run on Nokia mobiles. For probable requirement of implementation of the mobile application on mobiles from different manufacturers, the application has been developed using Java (J2ME) technology.

- Small footprint of the web based application, with the ability to run in disconnected mode.
- Provides limited Planner that displays the appointments for different active users.
- Sync functionality for synchronizing the mobile database with the central database. Intranet guide provides students the necessary information needed for C-DAC's Diploma in Advanced Computing course conducted by Gateway Education and Training. It provides the following features:
- Online quiz - allows students to take quiz online and also provides for verification of their answers. This product has been developed in VB using RDO.
- Online Attendance - allows students to record their presence online within the particular time limit set by the Institution. This product has also been developed in VB using RDO.
- Library Information System - allows students to search a particular book using keywords and to register the student's requirement of that book, if available. It also helps the Institute keep track of books.
- Feedback form - allows students to provide feedback to the Institute, withholding their identity. The Institute then draws inferences based on the feedback available.
- Suggestions - allows student to provide suggestions to the Institute.
- Module details - it provides details of the different module of the courses conducted. It also provides examples, samples, FAQs, and reference materials for better understanding of modules.The IntraGuide also provides additional information about current technologies in the IT field, by collecting relevant articles from the net.
