The aim was to develop a website and integrate it with a Payment SMAC so that the client could have people register to become members, to avail all the benefits from depth of study and research conducted by experts at clients firm. The real challenge was to maintain live stock quotes and tickers as we see on CNBC and NYSE stock sites. One of the key features was the ability for paid members of the site to select from a group of stocks or mutual funds and check the history or progress for both for a period ranging anywhere from a day to a year. Also they could buy reports and growth charts and graphs for the desired stock. A lot of features were integrated into this website. Mainly Content Management System through which the entire site and Newsletter management could be maintained. |

Project requirement was to do the requirement analysis, study existing application, design and development and integrated testing along with post deployment functional and technical support to pass the Euronext LIFFE tier-2 compliance and performance test. The client’s product is windows based client server application with an online order placement, order routing and portfolio management. They have Java based custom built order routing framework for the routing function. The existing system and application has exchange connectivity for NSC, CTCI and SWITCH_CTCI for stocks, future and options trading.
With a merger of Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon and Paris exchanges into Euronext it became mandatory for all the trading applications to support the Euronext LIFFE Exchange Connectivity. The vision of the project was to add a module to existing Java based framework a plug-in for Euronext LIFFE and also to make scalable, high performance client and server architecture for market data (quotes) feed. The companies supporting the Euronext LIFFE exchange connectivity are required to get certification from exchange based on the API functionalities they support. The certification is categorized in Tier 1 to 3 and the business goals and plans of the client were very aggressive to development the same.

The eligibility of loan is on such terms and condition, as the company may deem fit. For the same objective the company had developed In-house Housing System for multi user environment on Clipper & Novell Platform to accomplish high data volume and generate MIS, Statutory Reports for FAS & NHB Reports as per management requirements in 1997. Clipper based housing system was not working satisfactorily and it had its own limitations so SMAC suggested that the system it to be migrated to visual basic as a front-end tool and Oracle 7.3 as backend on Unix Platform for Corporate office and for Branch offices, Microsoft Access 2000 has to be used as the backend. This would fulfill the objective of on-line information, customer care and back office data processing like forecast cash flows, Recovery, Asset management and Bank Transactions & Reconciliation which were limitations in the earlier clipper based system |

- Online medical store (e-pharmacy) - The e-pharmacy will enable a customer to connect and browse the website www.dialforhealth.com where they can select and place online orders for various products at the store as medicines, Books, CD, DVD, Magazines and Health Care Equipments.
- Back office support system - This will enable the Head Office to have complete control over the Retail outlets, generate MIS and provide efficient operations. A complete Back Office Management Systems integrated with Retail Stores and Dialforhealth.com will be developed.
